Bio
My name is Charlie Carpenter. I am a fourth grade Math and Science teacher at Taylor Road Elementary in the Reynoldsburg City School District in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I am working on my Master's Degree in Computer Education and Technology from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio after receiving my Bachelor's Degree from Heidelberg College.
I designed this site as part of two of my courses at Ohio University. As part of my Instructional Design course, I brainstormed the idea for this internet in-service training for teachers. For my Dreamweaver (web design) course, I created this website to complement and be used in those internet in-service training classes. I discovered this project idea as a result of speaking with several colleagues and getting some input from the Technology teacher in my building.
Another level of this project is a re-design of this website and integrated resources as part of my Creative Master's Portfolio. The previous version of this website can be found here: SafetySearch. I designed this website to reflect a better visual representation after learning some more visual design principles throughout my Master's Program: Computer Education and Technology. I also enhanced and re-designed some of the resources found within this website for the portfolio.
